On August 20, 2009, Robert Normandeau will present Francis Dhomont’s work Premières traces du Choucas selected for ICMC 2009 (International Computer Music Conference) to be held in Montréal on August 16 - 21, 2009. Also on the programme of the 18 concerts, listening sessions and installations: Bastet by Elsa Justel, Kuppel by Robert Normandeau, Winternacht by Hans Tutschku, Dédales by Todor Todoroff, and many others.
The winners of the 36th Bourges International Competition of Electroacoustic Music and Electronic Arts (France) have been announced. In the Electroacoustic Music Part — Section II Trivium / Quadrivium Elainie Lillios got a prize for her work Veiled Resonance. In the same section Gilles Gobeil’s work Castalie and De deux points de vue by Todor Todoroff were awarded a mention. In the Electronic Arts Part Mathew Adkins was awarded a mention for his work Five Panels.
The March 24, 2009 concert of the Ciclo electrónica series in the Sala de Cámara of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid (Spain) presents electroacoustic music from Belgium. The programme includes Figures d’espaces by Annette Vande Gorne as well as works by Todoroff, Pousseur, Küpper and Goeyvaerts.
The Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium) will host the next ÉlectroBelge concert on February 26, 2009. The programme includes 9 premieres and performances by, amongst others, Annette Vande Gorne (Ouverture from Yamar Fiesta), Joris de Laet (Cordes et corps), Ingrid Drese (Plis de la nuit) and Todor Todoroff (Subternus).
