“Some very good electroacoustic music, thoughtful, masterful, and moving”

This CD culls works realized between 2005 and 2011, a very fine harvest. I am particularly fond of Jeu de langues made mostly out of inspirations edited from recordings of wind instrument players (the piece is sensual in a troubling way) and Anadliad, consisting of bagpipes, pibgorn, and the winds of Wales. And let’s not forget Palimpseste, the last (finally!) installment in the Onomatopées cycle started in (gasp!) 1991. Some very good electroacoustic music, thoughtful, masterful, and moving (which is not always the case in Normandeau’s œuvre).
