      • Premiere: March 3, 1998, Concert, Usine C (Montréal, Québec)

A work that makes use of continuous discontinuity

      canyon
      the dreamed rush downwards
      crevasses between sky and sky
      luminous particles

Transit was realized in 1998 in Studio 206 of the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and premiered on 3 March 1998 in a concert produced by ACREQ at Usine C in Montréal. Thanks to Yves Daoust, Jean, Christian, David, and Mathieu for their invitation to work in the conservatory’s studio. Thanks to Mont-Royal, rising above Montréal, for the unsurpassable fright of my life while I was doing night recordings — it ended up being quite an inspiration.
