Vande Gorne in Concert et Conference in FranceChœur des femmes 2, movement of Annette Vande Gorne’s opera Yawar fiesta on a libretto by Werner Lambersy, will be presented on April 28, 2008 as part of the symposium entitled “La spatialisation des musiques électroniques”, organized by the Université Jean Monnet’s CIEREC in Saint-Étienne (France). One Night and Three Generations of Composers, in BrusselsOn April 24, 2008, a 50-year journey proposed by José Manuel Berenguer & Carmen Pardo will be presented as part of the Ars Musica’s Night of the Electroacoustic Music. The event will take place at Kaaitheater in Brussels (Belgium). The concert is in three part, each of them is dedicated to a generation of composers. On program, works by: Schaeffer, Varèse, Eimert, Stockhausen, Xenakis, Ferrari, Risset, Dhomont, Ferreyra, Mandolini, Vande Gorne, Polonio, Truax, Vaggione, and Kupper.

New Works by Calon, Drese, Normandeau and Vande Gorne at L’espace du son, BrusselsThe 14th international acousmatic festival “L’espace du son” will take place from October 17 to 21, 2007 at Théâtre Marni in Brussels. The opening night of the festival will celebrate the Musiques & Recherches’ 25th anniversary, premiering 3 musical works: Voix de l’aurore by Ingrid Drese, Murmures by Robert Normandeau, and Chœur des femmes 2, a movement from the opera Yawar Fiesta by Annette Vande Gorne on a libretto by Werner Lambersy. The day after, October 18, will be dedicated to Christian Calon’s music; October 19, to Jean-François Minjard; October 20, to Bernard Parmegiani; and October 21 to Beatriz Ferreyra and Ana Dall’Ara-Majek.

Vande Gorne Perfoms at Música Viva, Lisbon
Annette Vande Gorne, composer and Musiques & Recherches director, will take part in the 2005 Música Viva festival in Lisbon (Portugal). On September 18 and 19, 2005, she will give master classes on acousmatic composition at the Palácio Marquês de Pombal. On September 21, 2005, at the auditorium of the Centro de Apoio Social de Oeiras, a portrait concert of Vande Gorne will feature the works Fragments de lettre à un habitant du centre (2002), Figures d’espace (2004), Ce qu’a vu le vent d’Est (2003) as well as two movements of Tao, Bois (1986) and Terre (1991). The 2005 Música Viva festival takes place from September 16 to the 24, 2005.

Harrison and Vande Gorne at Nuit bleue 2005Élektrophonie presents the 2005 Nuit bleue from July 8 to 10, 2005 at Arc et Senans’ Saline Royale (France). Nuit bleue 2005 is the 4th edition of this festival dedicated to new electroacoustic and electronic music, and is presented in coproduction with the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom) and Musiques & Recherches (Belgium). Every acousmatic composition will be spatialized on acousmonium by Sébastien Chatron, Jonty Harrison, Isabel Pires and Annette Vande Gorne. The night will feature compositions by Pete Stollery, Adrian Moore, Denis Smalley, Stephan Dunkelman, Ingrid Drese, Robert Normandeau, Francis Dhomont, Patrick Ascione, Andrew Lewis, Trevor Wishart, Annette Vande Gorne, Elizabeth Anderson, Theodore Lotis, Roger Cochini, Bernard Fort, Jonty Harrison, John Young, David Berezan et Beatriz Ferreyra, amongst others. The concert will then be repeated integrally in Birmingham (UK) on July 16, 2005.
