The 24 Tage Neuer Musik in Weimar festival will take place in Weimar (Germany) on November 2 - 5, 2011 and will feature, among others, the 65 anniversary of Annette Vande Gorne — portrait concert on November 4 — and the 85 anniversary of Francis Dhomont — portrait concert on November 5.
The Musikwissenschaftliches Institut of the Universität zu Köln (Cologne, Germany) presents a series of three concerts and one conference on the acousmtics of Francis Dhomont from June 29 to July 1, 2011. Also on the concert programmes are works by Annette Vande Gorne, and Hans Tutschku.
At the initiative of composer Stephan Dunkelman, 4 acousmatic composers amongst the most important of the genre — François Bayle, Francis Dhomont, Beatriz Ferreyra, and Bernard Parmegiani — pay homage to the work of Annette Vande Gorne on May 9, 2011 at a concert in Flagey in Brussels (Belgium). They will each diffuse a work by Vande Gorne and premiere a new work of their own. On the same programme are more premieres by Jonty Harrison, Ingrid Drese, Raúl Minsburg, and Elsa Justel.
BEAST presents Espaces, a six-concert series, on March 4 to 6, 2011 at the Foyle Studio of MAC in Birmingham (England, UK). On the programme: two carte blanche concerts by Kees Tazelaar and Annette Vande Gorne and works by Robert Normandeau, Iannis Xenakis, Francis Dhomont, Stephan Dunkelman, and several others.
The Ars Musica festival presents a Night of Electronic Music with acousmatic, mixed and videomusic works at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium) on March 23, 2011. On the programme are premieres by Annette Vande Gorne and Ingrid Drese, and videomusics by Inés Wickmann / Francis Dhomont and Marcelle Deschênes / Alain Pelletier.
Musiques & Recherches has invited students from the Conservatoire royal de Mons and Alexis Boilley to premiere 15 works celebrating the 65th birthday of Annette Vande Gorne during a concert at the Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium) on February 23, 2011. On the programme are works by Gilles Gobeil, Elizabeth Anderson, Robert Normandeau, Isabel Pires, Adrian Moore, Hans Tutschku and several more.
The final concert of the spatialization workshop organized by Musiques & Recherches will take place on September 4, 2010 at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium). The “spatializers” Massimo Avantaggiato, Alexis Boilley, Christopher Brasted, Sophie Delafontaine, Concha Garcia, and Hiromi Watanabe will present several works including Espace / Escape by Francis Dhomont, Figures d’espace by Annette Vande Gorne, Mortuos Plango, Vivo Vocos by Jonathan Harvey, and Terra Incognita by Denis Dufour.
Annette Vande Gorne is a guest composer at the 6th Bienal Internacional de Música Eletroacústica de São Paulo (BIMESP) to take place on August 18 - 27, 2010 at the Teatro Maria de Lourdes Sekeff of the Instituto de Artes da UNESP in São Paulo (Brazil). On August 19 afternoon Annette Vande Gorne will give a masterclass and, in the evening, will diffuse a megaconcert of Belgian music, the Painel dos Países 2 — Bélgica concert. On August 20 she will spatialise the works selected by Gilles Gobeil for the Painel dos Países 3 — Canadá concert.
Ai-maako, the 9th Festival Internacional de Música Electroacústica de Santiago de Chile, will take place on October 1 - 10, 2009 in Santiago (Chile). Amongst the selected works: Sisyphe by Francis Dhomont, Yegl by Elsa Justel, Murmures by Robert Normandeau, and Still Voices by Pete Stollery. Annette Vande Gorne will present a concert “carte blanche” on October 1 with amongst other, her works Figures d’espace, and Ce qu’a vu le vent d’Est. Elsa Justel will also present a “carte blanche” concert on October 8.
The 11th Sound Travels festival started on June 14, 2009 in Toronto and will last until October 31. On August 7 Nicolas Bernier will premiere his work Courant.air and will present a 8-channel version of Les arbres. Also on the programme, Champs de fouilles (Excavations) by Martin Bédard. On August 8 there will be a concert with Annette Vande Gorne who will present works on Exils: Ce qu’a vu le vent d’Est, Exil, chant II, Figures d’espace.
