The 15th Opus prizes winners were announced yesterday, January 29, 2012, in Montréal. The “Album of the year — actuelle and electroacoustic musics” is Quelques reflets by Pierre Alexandre Tremblay.

Foliphonies celebrates the 20 years of empreintes DIGITALes with a double-concert of Patrick Ascione’ work and works by younger composers whose music is released by empreintes DIGITALes. This concert is produced by Les Acousmonautes at the Cité de la musique in Marseille (France) on December 8, 2010 as part of the annual colloquim of the Association des enseignants de la composition en musique électroacoustique (France).
Pierre Alexandre Tremblay will premiere his work Reflets de notre société crépusculaire, which is a GRM commission, on December 6, 2009 at Maison de Radio France, Paris. On December 10, he will participate to the Théorie des cordes, Festival#0 that takes place also in Paris. On December 12, he will play in duet with Robin Fincker at Le Cherche Ardeur in Toulouse (France).
Pierre Alexandre Tremblay will be performing the premiere of Sandbox#3.n as part of the Kammer Klang 12 at Café Oto (London, UK) on November 24, 2009. On the same evening, he will join the jazz quartet Outhouse and Sarah Nicolls will perform his piano and processing work Un clou, son marteau, et le béton.
empreintes DIGITALes is releasing a new DVD-Audio in “Surround 5.1” during the ICMC 2009! Inspired by Louis Hamelin’s novel La rage, this work by Pierre Alexandre Tremblay performed by Stefan Schneider was finalist at the 34th Concours international de musique électroacoustique et d’art sonore de Bourges (France, 2007), and the concert Alter ego (in which La rage was the main work featured) was awarded the 2005-06 Prix Opus for Best Concert — Musique actuelle, electroacoustics.
As part of the Nothing New Conference, works by Gilles Gobeil and Francis Dhomont will be presented in concert at the University of Huddersfield (UK) on April 24, 2009. The programme includes, amongst others, Ombres, espaces, silences… (available on Trois songes) by Gobeil, Novars (available on Cycle du son) by Dhomont and Gesulado by Ludger Brümmer.
Annette Vande Gorne will present a concert of videomusics on May 27, 2009 at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium). The programme includes a videomusic by Pierre Alexandre Tremblay titled Walk That Way.
