Christian Tréguier is a graduate of the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique (CNSM) of Paris, where he was a student of Irène Joachim and Xavier Depraz. Since the beginning, from Gregorian chant to contemporary music, he has developed a very eclectic repertoire. Between 1974 and 1984, he was the principal performer of such notable premieres as: L’Homme aux loups by Aperghis, René Caillié in Tem-Boktou by Mâche (Festival dAvignon, Opéra du Rhin), and Valmont in Liaisons dangereuses by Claude Prey (Opéra du Rhin, tour of France). He also undertakes the great repertoire roles (Scarpia, Don Juan, The Count in Noces de Figaro, Golaud…) at the Théâtres lyriques nationaux, at the Opéra Bastille (L’Arche de Noé by Britten, Les Noces by Stravinsky…), and at prestigious festivals.
