The Happening Festival of New Music and Media 2010 will take place at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall of the Rozsa Centre in Calgary (Alberta) on January 25 - 29, 2010. The Sound & Image concert on January 26 features Robert Normandeau who will present three works — Chorus, Jeu de langues (new version), and StrinGDberg — on a multichannel sound diffusion system. At the same concert are programmed videomusics by Bret Battey, Louis Dufort, and Laurie Radford. The New Adventures in Sound Art concert — co-presented by New Works Calgary — on January 28 presents works by David Berezan, Darren Copeland, David Eagle, and Hildegard Westerkamp. The festival also includes conferences and sound installations.
The Music Technology programme at Northeastern University in Boston (USA) is presenting a 4-concert electroacoustic concert series this winter 2010. Concert #1 on January 23, 2010 is featuring Gilles Gobeil (and will include Dreams in the Desert by Elainie Lillios) and concert #2 on February 13 is featuring Denis Smalley (and will include à la cire perdue by Laurie Radford). Both these first concerts are presented at The Fenway Center in Boston (USA).
Canadian Electroacoustics is prominently featured at Musicacoustica Beijing 2009 festival, October 25 - 31, 2009. Acousmatic pieces by Martin Bédard, Robert Normandeau, Mathew Adkins, Laurie Radford, Pete Stollery, plus a videomusic by Pierre Alexandre Tremblay will be presented during the MANTIS South-North Weekend Festival from March 9 to 11, 2007 in Manchester (UK). A total of 21 acousmatic compositions and 6 audiovisual works have been selected amongst the 186 proposals from composers from 32 countries.
The Fibonacci Trio will premiere three new mixed by Laurie Radford, Cléo Palacio-Quintin, and Yannick Plamondon on May 20, 2004 at Redpath Hall in Montréal. Also on the programme: James Clark and Nicolas Gilbert.
