Joseph Petric is acknowledged as one of the world’s foremost concert accordion soloists. As a champion of new music, Petric has commissioned more than 100 works, premiered more than 200. His new music repertoire includes works by Berio, Daniel, Daoust, Gubajdulina, Hatch, Hatzis, Hosokawa, Kagel, Koprowski, Nordheim, Schafer, Skempton, Smith, and Valkare. As a soloist, Petric has appeared at international festivals such as Siljan, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Queen’s Festival Belfast, and major venues such as the Kennedy Center and Merkin Hall (USA), Purcell Room and Bridgewater Hall (UK), Muziekcentrum De IJsbreker (Netherlands) and Montréal’s Salle Pierre-Mercure and Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall.
