The first prize of the acousmatic composition competition Métamorphoses 2008 was awarded ex-aequo to Suk-Jun Kim and Joan Bagés i Rubi. The Public Prize went to Apostolos Loufopoulos; the Student Category Prize was given to Pôm Bouvier B.

Acousmatic pieces by Martin Bédard, Robert Normandeau, Mathew Adkins, Laurie Radford, Pete Stollery, plus a videomusic by Pierre Alexandre Tremblay will be presented during the MANTIS South-North Weekend Festival from March 9 to 11, 2007 in Manchester (UK). A total of 21 acousmatic compositions and 6 audiovisual works have been selected amongst the 186 proposals from composers from 32 countries.
