The radio series “Simulcast 2.0: Sackville” will take place on July 28 - August 24, 2009 on CHMA 106.9 FM in Sackville (New Brunswick, Canada) and online (www.mta.ca/students/chma/listen.htm). Four Canadian sound and radio artists have been asked to provide a single sustaining sound to be broadcasted from 2am to 6am. 12:00 by Hélène Prévost will be presented during the first week. Compositions by Mario Gauthier (Transparences in six parts, one per night), i8u (Still Life), and Stéphane Claude (Waves Array) will follow, one per week, until the end of the series.
The first edition of Audio abstractions (Aa) will take place on August 20, 2006 at La Chambre blanche (Québec City) with i8u, Érick d’Orion, and Gal.
For the third installement of the Volapük concert series, Les Poules (the trio of Danielle Palardy Roger, Diane Labrosse and Joane Hétu) pairs up with three young innovative musicians, i8u, Magali Babin and Myléna Bergeron. The concert will be held at the O Patro Vys hall (Montréal) on April 28, 2005.
Éric Mattson, artistic director of the Oral label, presents the concert series Transitors et autres circuits (TAC). The next edition will be held on November 26, 2004 at Montréal’s Musée juste pour rire with Diane Labrosse, David Sanson, Mathias Delplanque, Daniel Olson, and Szkieve. The two next events will be featuring works by Nancy Tobin, David Kristian, and i8u on December 15, 2004 and by Ælab, Magali Babin, and Tim Hecker on December 17, 2004, this time at Oboro’s new media laboratory (Montréal).
After a well received performance at Berlin’s Club Transmediale, Magali Babin and i8u’s alluring duo will rock the 5th Mutek festival on June 5, 2004 at SAT (Montréal).
A collaboration between Studio XX and Club Transmediale, Magali Babin and i8u will present a duo during the “Maid in Cyberspace” event, to be held in Berlin on February 4, 2004. They will also be presenting this work during the next edition of Rien à voir (15), to be held in Montréal from February 11 to 15, 2004.
