Artists // Marc Jaffeux

Marc Jaffeux has written radio works, and also librettos for composers of electroacoustic and instrumental music (Ingrid Drese, Denis Dufour, Georges Gabriele, Jean-Luc Hervé, Frédéric Kahn, Gérard Pesson, Agnès Poisson). Two main themes crisscross his whole œuvre: illness and medical power (see Cycle orange) or social misery and the thirst for absolute (after Cycle orange). Since 2003, he has been co-translating the Danish poetry of Marianne Larsen and contributing, as a “fictographer,” to the Tunisian monthly publication Kalima (censored by the Tunisian dictatorship). He started the pure literature website sik in 2007. A year later, he puts most of his work freely available on his own website. He has also published at Éclats d’encre Le rituel de la dispersion des organes vitaux (followed by Le nom Butterfly and Les fossiles de Liliatrice, 2001) and Entendez-vous les images fondre (followed by Le souvenir sans objet and Castel-Atroce, 2002).
