The radio series “Simulcast 2.0: Sackville” will take place on July 28 - August 24, 2009 on CHMA 106.9 FM in Sackville (New Brunswick, Canada) and online (www.mta.ca/students/chma/listen.htm). Four Canadian sound and radio artists have been asked to provide a single sustaining sound to be broadcasted from 2am to 6am. 12:00 by Hélène Prévost will be presented during the first week. Compositions by Mario Gauthier (Transparences in six parts, one per night), i8u (Still Life), and Stéphane Claude (Waves Array) will follow, one per week, until the end of the series.

The “Concert of the year - actuelle and electroacoustic musics” category goes to the Theresa Transistor quartet (Christian Bouchard, Christian Calon, Mario Gauthier, Monique Jean) while the “Album of the year - actuelle and electroacoustic musics” is Trilogie d’ondes by Gilles Gobeil.
