At the initiative of composer Stephan Dunkelman, 4 acousmatic composers amongst the most important of the genre — François Bayle, Francis Dhomont, Beatriz Ferreyra, and Bernard Parmegiani — pay homage to the work of Annette Vande Gorne on May 9, 2011 at a concert in Flagey in Brussels (Belgium). They will each diffuse a work by Vande Gorne and premiere a new work of their own. On the same programme are more premieres by Jonty Harrison, Ingrid Drese, Raúl Minsburg, and Elsa Justel.
The acousmonium of the GRM takes center stage at the Imatronic festival at the ZKM in Karlsruhe (Germany) from December 1 to 5, 2010. Concerts, talks and lectures will take place with several guest composers such as Beatriz Ferreyra, Robert Normandeau, Ludger Brümmer, Hans Tutschku…
Inés Wickmann and Francis Dhomont are guest artists of the L’opus à l’oreille festival, that takes place from September 25 to October 21, 2009 at Fondation Vasarely in Aix-en-Provence (France). During the festival, they will premiere 3 videomusics: Urbs, Terres et ciels, and Kronos. On October 10, Dhomont will give a conference. On the same evening, Dhomont’s work Corps et âme will be presented in a concert. Also on the programme of the festival: videomusics by Inés Wickmann (video), Ingrid Drese (music), and Beatriz Ferreyra (music).
There will be an acousmatic concert with works by Francis Dhomont, Christian Zanési, Jacques Lejeune, Beatriz Ferreyra, Philippe Mion and Guy Reibel on April 21, 2009 at Le Fil in Saint-Étienne (France).
Annette Vande Gorne will present a concert of videomusics on May 27, 2009 at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium). The programme includes a videomusic by Pierre Alexandre Tremblay titled Walk That Way. Tuesday, Turn. and two other works, one of which is a videomusic by Inés Wickmann with music by Beatriz Ferreyra.
The 5th edition of the Festival di interpretazione della musica acusmatica in Cagliari (Italia) will take place from June 26-29, 2008 at the Università di Cagliari (Facoltà di lettere e filosofia). The opening day will be dedicated to a round-table conference followed by a series of double concert programmes curated respectively by Stéphane Roy and Beatriz Ferreyra; Diego Losa and Leo Kupper; Lucio Garau and Åke Parmerud. Also, the piece Les Territoires secrets by Stéphane Roy will be premiered as part of the Lucio Garau concert (June 29).
On April 24, 2008, a 50-year journey proposed by José Manuel Berenguer & Carmen Pardo will be presented as part of the Ars Musica’s Night of the Electroacoustic Music. The event will take place at Kaaitheater in Brussels (Belgium). The concert is in three part, each of them is dedicated to a generation of composers. On programme, works by: Schaeffer, Varèse, Eimert, Stockhausen, Xenakis, Ferrari, Risset, Dhomont, Ferreyra, Mandolini, Vande Gorne, Polonio, Truax, Vaggione, and Kupper.
La basilique fantôme by Arturo Parra and Stéphane Roy has been selected by the VII Festival Internacional de Música Electroacústica, Ai-maako 2007 in Santiago (Chile), and will be presented on October 17, 2007. Also note the presence of Åke Parmerud who will present a portrait concert, Francis Dhomont, Beatriz Ferreyra, Elsa Justel, João Pedro Oliveira, Hans Tutschku, and Trevor Wishart Amongst many others…
The 14th international acousmatic festival L’espace du son will take place from October 17 to 21, 2007 at Théâtre Marni in Brussels. The opening night of the festival will celebrate the Musiques & Recherches’ 25th anniversary, premiering 3 musical works: Voix de l’aurore by Ingrid Drese, Murmures by Robert Normandeau, and Chœur des femmes 2, a movement from the opera Yawar Fiesta by Annette Vande Gorne on a libretto by Werner Lambersy. The day after, October 18, will be dedicated to Christian Calon’s music; October 19, to Jean-François Minjard; October 20, to Bernard Parmegiani; and October 21 to Beatriz Ferreyra and Ana Dall’Ara-Majek.
The Synthèse festival that takes place in Bourges (France) from June 1 to 10, 2007 promises us a great edition. Amongst guest artists, we can find Jon Appleton, Francis Dhomont, Louis Dufort, Denis Dufour, Beatriz Ferreyra, Max Mathews, Barry Truax, and Hans Tutschku. Francis Dhomont will notably present his work Premières traces du Choucas on June 4th and a lecture entitled Hypothèses sur un parcours personnel, the day after, on June 5th.
