The Happening Festival of New Music and Media 2010 will take place at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall of the Rozsa Centre in Calgary (Alberta) on January 25 - 29, 2010. The Sound & Image concert on January 26 features Robert Normandeau who will present three works — Chorus, Jeu de langues (new version), and StrinGDberg — on a multichannel sound diffusion system. At the same concert are programmed videomusics by Bret Battey, Louis Dufort, and Laurie Radford. The New Adventures in Sound Art concert — co-presented by New Works Calgary — on January 28 presents works by David Berezan, Darren Copeland, David Eagle, and Hildegard Westerkamp. The festival also includes conferences and sound installations.
Darren Copeland premieres his work Rights of the Child / Aux droits de l’enfant online on Réseaux’s website from December 1, 2009 to February 28, 2010.

The new radiophonic piece The Other Night, Underwater by Darren Copeland and Andreas Kahre will be on air on Friday May 2, 2008 at midnight — Berlin time (Germany) — on Deutschlandradio Kultur (or on Thursday May 1 at 6 pm in Montréal). Note: the piece will not be archived on-line, so this might be the only chance to hear it!
The audio-video intallation Breath Control by Darren Copeland will be presented from March 5 - 16, 2008 (Wednesday to Sunday) at Gallery 1313 in Toronto (Canada). Opening reception with the artist in attendance is on March 6.
Futura 2007, the international festival of acousmatic art, will take place from August 17 au 19, 2007 in Crest (France). This festival’s edition build around Christian Zanési’s work will notably host, Amongst many composers, Mathew Adkins, Patrick Ascione, Darren Copeland, Denis Dufour, Chantal Dumas, Bernard Parmegiani, Laurie Radford, Pete Stollery, Benjamin Thigpen, and Annette Vande Gorne.
The 9th Sound Travels festival started on July 1, 2007 in Toronto and will last until October 1. This event directed by Darren Copeland will feature, Amongst others, Barry Truax, Kristi Allik, Trevor Wishart, and Tony Ka Tung Leung. Performances are planned for July 23, and August 10-12.
