The 17th international acousmatic festival L’espace du son will take place from October 20 to 24, 2010 at Théâtre Marni in Brussels (Belgium). The guest composers are Régis Renouard Larivière, Federico Schumacher Ratti, and Michel Chion. Also on the programme one concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of empreintes DIGITALes.
The 2009 Futura festival will take place on August, 20 — 23, 2009 in Crest, France. On the programme, works by Otomo Yoshihide, Luc Ferrari, Denis Dufour, Francis Dhomont (Corps et âme), Michel Chion, Michèle Bokanowski, Chantal Dumas, Ivo Malec, Bernard Parmegiani, Christian Zanési, Christian Calon and many others.
There will be a nocturnal acousmatic concert starting on May 14, 2009 as part of Les musiques festival in Marseille (France). The programme includes Robert Normandeau’s work Palimpseste, Francis Dhomont’s Here and There (available on … et autres utopies), Denis Dufour’s Douze mélodies acousmatiques, Chantal Dumas’ s/t w/t, Michel Chion’s Credo, a work by Christian Calon and many others.
Michel Chion, one of the fathers of electroacoustic music, will be in Montréal on February 19, 2009 for the festival Montréal/Nouvelles Musiques 2009. He’ll present two premieres — Credo, and Le souffle court — in a concert coproduced by the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec (SMCQ) and Réseaux. He will also give two conferences at the Grande bibliothèque on February 19 and at the Université de Montréal on February 19.
The Futura festival will take place from August 21 to 24, 2008 in Crest (France). Amongst guest composers, let’s point Patrick Ascione, Natasha Barrett, Michel Chion, Pierre Henry, and Lionel Marchetti’s presence. Also, in the Nuit blanche programme (August 23rd) Gilles Gobeil will present his piece Ombres, espaces, silences…, Francis Dhomont will diffuse Signé Dionysos, and Annette Vande Gorne her piece Exil, chant II.
This year, the Futura 06 festival in Crest (France) is compressed into a 3-day event — August 18 — 20, 2006 — and into one 35-hour concert. Amongst the featured composers: Luc Ferrari (homage), Michèle Bokanowski, Michel Chion, Darren Copeland, Matmos, Yann Paranthoën (homage), Elsa Justel, Roxanne Turcotte, and Pierre Henry. Then on August 27, a concert concluding an acousmatic diffusion workshop will feature 15 works by just as many composers, including Francis Dhomont and Marc Tremblay.

The premiere of the definitive version of L’isle sonante by Michel Chion will be held Sunday December 4, 2005 at the Salle Olivier Messiaen of the Maison de Radio France (Paris).
The first concert of the 27th Multiphonie series, Akousma 1 will be presented in Paris (France) on November 27, 2004 at the Salle Olivier Messiaen of the Maison de Radio France by the Groupe de recherches musicales (Ina-GRM). This concert will be dedicated to GRM works from the ’70s and will feature works by Guy Reibel, Ivo Malec, Jean Schwarz, François Bayle and also the works Pour en finir avec le pouvoir d’Orphée (1972) by Bernard Parmegiani and Requiem (1973) by Michel Chion.
The 1st Festival di musica elettroacustica will take place from May 28 to 30, 2004 in Cagliari (Sardinia) and will features works by: Tu M’, Ralf Wehowsky, Michel Chion, Åke Parmerud, Theodore Lotis, Elio Martusciello, François Bayle, Marc Favre, Bernard Fort and many other composers.
