Acousmatic pieces by Andrew Lewis (including one premiere), Adrian Moore, and David Berezan (including two UK premieres) and mixed works by Hans Tutschku and Chikashi Miyama, among several others, will be presented during the MANTIS Festival Fall 2011 from October 28 to 30, 2011 in the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall of The University of Manchester (UK).
The happy superposition of the festival Sound Travels and of the Toronto Electroacoustic Symposium brings together concerts and keynote presentation with Jonty Harrison, David Berezan, Yves Daoust and many others. The main concert of Sound Travels and the symposium take place on August 10 - 13, 2011 at Artscape Wychwood Barns in Toronto (Canada). The following week, August 16 - 20, will present an intensive workshop with Jonty Harrison, David Ogborn, Darren Copeland, Rob Cruickshank, and Marla Hlady in the same venue, Artscape Wychwood Barns.
The 3rd festival EmuFest will take place from November 14 to 21, 2010 at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome (Italy). While the schedule is not completed at the time of this writing, Les lointains noirs et rouges by Gilles Gobeil, Badlands by David Berezan, and the videomusic by Francis Dhomont and Inés Wickmann will be presented.
Music by Dominique Bassal and David Berezan are on the programme of the November 15, 2010 concert at Club Diario Levante in Valencia (Spain) as part of the 17th Punto de Encuentro festival, November 11 - 16.
Ai-maako, the 10th Festival Internacional de Música Electroacústica de Chile, will take place on October 6 - 16, 2010 in Valdivia and Santiago (Chile). Of interest are two «carte blanche» concerts to David Berezan (including a world premiere) and Robert Normandeau. Amongst the selected works are those by Francis Dhomont, Coin Gutter, Terri Hron, Flo Menezes and several others.
The Happening Festival of New Music and Media 2010 will take place at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall of the Rozsa Centre in Calgary (Alberta) on January 25 - 29, 2010. The Sound & Image concert on January 26 features Robert Normandeau who will present three works — Chorus, Jeu de langues (new version), and StrinGDberg — on a multichannel sound diffusion system. At the same concert are programmed videomusics by Bret Battey, Louis Dufort, and Laurie Radford. The New Adventures in Sound Art concert — co-presented by New Works Calgary — on January 28 presents works by David Berezan, Darren Copeland, David Eagle, and Hildegard Westerkamp. The festival also includes conferences and sound installations.
David Berezan’s work Badlands will be presented during the Channel Noise: Electronic Music concert on October 1, 2009 at Georgia Southern University, in Statesboro (USA).
Élektrophonie (France) will present the 8th “Nuit bleue” on July 11, 2009 at Saline Royale in Arc-et-Senans (France). Many works are programmed during the “Nuit acousmatique” concert: Cyclo by David Berezan, Premières traces du Choucas by Francis Dhomont, Champs de fouilles (Excavations) by Martin Bédard, Voix de l’aurore by Ingrid Drese, L’escalier des aveugles by Luc Ferrari, Dancing on the Edge of Silence by Monique Jean and many others. A portrait of Patrick Ascione will also be presented on the same night during the "Cinéma pour l’oreille" concert.
The Keele University (England, UK) will present the Sixth International Conference on Music Since 1900 on July 2 — 5, 2009. Amongst the works programmed to this event, you will hear: Five Panels by Mathew Adkins on July 2, Back To Square One by Pete Stollery and Badlands by David Berezan on July 4.
SARC of Queen’s University Belfast (Northern Ireland, UK) presents a week of “solo” concerts on February 16-20, 2009. The guest composers all have discs on empreintes DIGITALes: Adrian Moore, Jonty Harrison, David Berezan, Pete Stollery, and Denis Smalley.
