The Sound of Norwegian Spring with Barrett

Natasha Barrett

The SLEPPET — the Sound of Norwegian Spring project, part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Edvard Grieg’s death, has invited creators in electronic music and sound art to produce works based on the sounds from the Norwegian nature and folk culture, those that have also inspired Grieg. Artists — amongst whom Natasha Barrett — have been invited to tour Western Norway in the Spring 2007 to experience and record its nature and rural culture. The works resulting from this process will become an exhibition from August 31 to September 23, 2007 in Bergen (Norway). Meanwhile follow the evolution of the artists’ work on the Sleppet’s website (link below).
