The “Nuit blanche” concert of the 12th Festival Internacional de Música Electroacústica de Chile, Ai-maako, will start on January 11, 2013 at 11pm to finish nine hours later the next morning. The program features women composers with four portrait-segments with Manuella Blackburn, Beatriz Ferreyra, Cecilia García-Gracia, and Christine Groult, several works by Renätä Anäyä, Natasha Barrett, Ingrid Drese, Monique Jean, Elainie Lillios, and Hildegard Westerkamp, and works by Elizabeth Anderson, Françoise Barrière, Denise García, Elsa Justel, Line Katcho, Abril Padilla, Agnès Poisson, Andrea Szigetvári, and Annette Vande Gorne.
Natasha Barrett, Alessandro Massobrio, and Fabio Orsi will participate in the workshop on Movement of acoustic images on October 29 and 30, 2010 as part of the Live!iXem festival in Milan (Italy).
The 12th Sound Travels festival started on June 26, 2010 in Toronto and will last until September 26. The concert Expansive Spirits on August 7 will present works by Marcelle Deschênes, D Andrew Stewart, and David Eagle. On August 8 the concert About HOME includes pieces by Manuella Blackburn, Natasha Barrett, David Hindmarch, and Ned Bouhalassa.
On March 10, 2010 empreintes DIGITALes will release a triplet of discs — 2 new releases, and 1 reissue — by exceptional women composers.
The World New Music Days organized by the ISCM will take place on Septembre 24 - October 4, 2009 in Visby, Växjö, and Göteborg (Sweden). Amongst the works on the programmes: Rituals by Åke Parmerud on September 28; Champs de fouilles (Excavations) by Martin Bédard and Sub Terra by Natasha Barrett on September 29; and finally Vol de rêve (first movement of Trois songes) by Gilles Gobeil on October 1.
Natasha Barrett will give a concert on May 16, 2009 at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Olso (Norway). She will present her work Rhizaria (cello and processing) from the cycle Barely and a live electronics improvisation set with her duo Dr Ox (with cellist Tanja Orning).
From January 29 to February 1, 2009, Natasha Barrett will be at the ILIOS Happening 2009 festival in Harstad (Norway). She will present her work Microclimates III-IV.
Natasha Barrett will be at the De Montfort University (England, UK) on March 5, 2009 to present Sub Terra and Gentle Sediment. She will also participate to a seminar where she will talk about Sub Terra and other recent works.
Natasha Barrett will give 3 concerts at the Trans’électroacoustique festival in Marseille (France) from February 11 to 13, 2009. She will present Angels & Devils on the first night, Wet Face and Trade Winds at the second concert and Sub Terra and The Utility of Space on the third night.
Natasha Barrett will be in Malmö (Sweden) on February 24, 2009 to premiere her work Zone 1 in which she plays live-electronics with guitarist Stefan Östersjö and Ensemble Ars Nova.
